- Officially opens new plant in Hunedoara

The Crawford Group today officially opened its new facitlity in Hunedoara. The plant will deliver logistic solutions to primarily retail and warehousing customers in Romania and Europe.

In Europe, new distribution patterns are being created and there is movement from west to east. Ports on the Black Sea, in Romania and Bulgaria are challenging the western European ports.

"This is giving us new opportunities. With this modern plant we will be able to meet the ongoing changes in European logistic patterns. At the same time we will strengthen our market offer of production of docking solutions close to the large logistic centres in both East Europe and the Black Sea." says Peter Aru Cardo’s CEO and president.

The total investments in the European logistics market is growing and is estimated to app. 12 bin Euro* 2007. By establishing the plant in Hunedoara, Crawford both strengthens it’s presence in the expanding Romanian market and securing efficient supply to the growing economy in Eastern Europe.
